 PROFESSOR JOAO MOREIRAProfessor Joao Moreira has been involved in martial arts for almost 30 years. He started practicing judo in his home town Braslia, Brazil when he was 11 years old. He received his Black Belt in Judo in 2006. He also has extensive wrestling background having wrestled in high school Div. 1 wrestling team at Binghamton University in 2002-2003. He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2002 and received his black belt in 2019. Prof. Joao enjoys traveling, competing whenever he can, and enjoying time with his wife and 2 daughters. You can see him teaching at SPAR in our Adult as well as Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes.
