Introducing Coach Tony: From the young age of 15, Coach Tony embarked on an extraordinary path, immersing himself in the art of Isshin-ryu Karate. For an impressive span of 12 years, he became dedicated to mastering this traditional form, eventually attaining the advanced rank of Black Belt in 1998.

Coach Tony's quest for more knowledge and his passion for martial arts were insatiable. Thus, he ventured into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu eventually becoming a purple belt under the leadership of Professor Eduardo Barboza. With unwavering commitment and over 7 years of relentless training, he has honed his skills on the mat, embracing the intricate techniques and strategic brilliance of BJJ.

Coach Tony also holds a coveted black belt in Krav Maga from SPAR. What started as a quest for personal safety and physical fitness has grown into an unwavering passion that resonates in every aspect of his life. Tony's love for Krav Maga is very evident when you see him on the mats both training and teaching. He finds solace in its practicality and a sense of preparedness it provides him in any potential altercation.

Coach Tony also shares his wealth of knowledge by assisting in Krav Maga classes. A warm and welcoming presence, he possesses a remarkable ability to put new students at ease, positively guiding them through the beginning stages of their martial arts journey. Tony understands the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment, enabling aspiring students to develop confidence while embracing the challenges of being a new student.

Beyond the world of martial arts, Coach Tony's talents extend into the realm of construction. With an impressive background spanning over three decades, he has earned his stripes as a seasoned professional in the field. For the past 16 years, he has owned and operated his own construction business, Go To Guy's Renovation, Coach Tony is even responsible for the majority of all new construction you see at SPAR since we moved in!

His life is an inspiring testament to the pursuit of excellence, both on and off the mat. His unwavering dedication, coupled with his immense knowledge and experience in martial arts, makes him a force to be reckoned with!
